Pin Boulevard provides branded websites to organizations that are comprehensively connected to their social media marketing networks, removing the need to treat the website, Facebook Pages, and Twitter accounts as separate publications needing to be managed separately. With Pin Boulevard, a Facebook Post updates the website and Twitter too, keeping all up to date with a minimum of time and trouble.

The Pin Boulevard pincard-based website provides organizations a design for the modern era when most visitors to websites are there for a purpose. The Pincard website supports the two main missions of websites: information and marketing.  Information is in easy reach, and the marketing aspect expresses itself visually and presents a great deal of content "above the fold" (without the need to scroll) on normal size monitors.

Other benefits of the pincard website are:

  • Responsive design that looks good on screens from smart-phone size up to 4K monitors without the need for separate pages for small screens

  • Modern, visual design

  • Handles small amounts of content well, as well as large amounts (room for pages for sponsors, participants, donors, recipients, etc)

  • Content can be easily updated by staff or volunteers without fear of breaking website design nor the need to know computer languages like HTML or CSS

  • Each page represented by a pincard which can be clicked on to access the page, in addtion to the conventional index, menu located in the first pin

  • Optional cloud menu

  • Content can be added to website in the form of blogs or ezines. This content is automatically integrated into the website design

Claiming Your Facebook Page
Claiming Your Facebook Page
  • Businesses
  • Not-for-Profit Organizations
  • Local Government Organizations
  • Community Boosters
  • Community Groups

Facebook creates pages for most local businesses whether they want them or not.

If you have not claimed yours, you need to do so.

Your unclaimed Facebook page is at best not very inviting looking—especially to young people who prefer social media to other forms of advertising—and at worst contains errors like wrong phone numbers.

Also, when someone looks up your organization in a search, Facebook will display pages of your competitors, but only if your page is not claimed.*

The quickest way to achieve this is from a computer at your organization’s site where you can answer the phone.

First, log into your private Facebook account (a business Facebook Page is different from your private FB account, but you access the page through your private account).

In the search bar at the top, search for your organization.

When you find it, click on it, then on the page, click the little gear next to the word “Edit” (if you do not see the gear or the word “Edit,” this means someone has claimed your page already—contact us for help).  Then choose “Is this your business?”

During the process of making the claim, you’ll either be able to do it by telephone, or they will send you a postcard verification, which obviously takes longer.

Once claimed, you can fix it up with some photos and also correct any informational errors you find.

*This will happen when your organizatoin has a duplicate Facebok pages as well, even if you claim your main one (or you made it yourself). See our webpage "Merging Duplicate Pages."

The three most important points of information for your Facebook Page to have are:

  • Accurate information
  • A Profile picture (often your logo)
  • A cover photo (often a picture of your business)

You can look at the pages of some other local businesses to get some ideas, if you’d like.  Just look them up the same way as you did your own.

To edit your page, log onto Facebook, call up your page (Click “Home” at the top, then look for it under “Pages” in the left hand column).

Once the page is displayed, click “Settings” and then “Page Info” to update addresses and phone numbers.

To update your profile picture, put your mouse over it and then click “Update Profile Picture.”

To update your cover photo, mouse-over it and then click “Update Cover” at the top left.

Pin Boulevard Guides You

Is the whole idea of keeping up with Face-Tweet-Insta-Googly-Bing-Square-Meet-Terest-asaurus just too much to contemplate?  Let Pin Boulevard and its related documents and books lead you through the maze so that you can take advantage of the social media marketing strategies that are most important to your local business.

First of all, those sites--Facebook, Twitter, and so on--are called networks and all of them together we call "The Socialplex." It's short and easy to remember. Secondly, some networks are more important than others, and our mission is to first give you a quick and basic understanding so you can decide which ones are best for your organization.

Pin Boulevard Informs You

Social Media isn't exactly rocket science, but on the other hand, like anything else, the more you know the more effective you'll be.

So let's start.

What is the difference between Facebook and Twitter, from a small business point of view?

Easy.  Facebook is for connecting with current customers, Twitter is for connecting with new customers.

Facebook is critically important, Twitter is just essentially important.  As you might guess, they are both really, really important.

Pin Boulevard Provides Time Saving Tools

Are you overwhelmed with just the prospect of keeping your organization's Facebook up to date?

Does the prospect of a Twitter presence, let alone any of the others, just seem overwhelming?

Pin Boulevard to the rescue.

Pin Boulevard's Social Tools, even at the free level, connect you with our local social networks with little or no extra effort on your part.  They can even help you build your organization's own presence taking just a few minutes a day.

Pin Boulevard Promotes a Local Social Conversation

Marketing your local organization to local prospective customers on the Internet has always been a challenge.

Social Media like Facebook came along and made it a little easier, but there still isn't a ready group of local readers for each community like there were when newspapers were the answer.

Pin Boulevard fills the marketing void left by newspapers and yellow page phone books, orienting your orgnaization's visibility to local residents.

The Pin Boulevard Website
